Hinsdale Sheriff’s office personnel were out on an enjoyable patrol last Thursday morning, December 21 as they dispensed holiday cheer in the form of clothing vouchers and toys to 21 children in 10 local families.

According to McDonald, who once again coordinated this year’s ‘Toys for Tots’ campaign, larger than usual fundraising efforts in the Turkey Trot Fun Run and women’s club cookie auction, plus approximately $500 in private donations. totaled a record $3,000 which was used to purchase new toys — especially intriguing boxed gifts including an update to My Pretty Pony, the artistically-inspiring Spirograph, and a variety of swift street thrasher cars.
In addition, 11 local families received $100-per-child clothing gift vouchers at WalMart.
