THE TOWN OF LAKE CITY is asking for donations to help fund the Town Park pavilion project. We would like to build a 20×32 timber frame pavilion on the site of the current volleyball court next to the library. The volleyball court will be relocated to the confluence area at Memorial Park. We have currently secured 85% of the funds needed to construct the pavilion and are looking for private tax-deductible donations to fund the remaining 15%. This equates to approximately $5000. Any funds received over the $5000 will be used for Town Park improvements. The plan is to construct the pavillion prior to the busy tourist season. If you would like to donate to help fund this much-needed project, please send a check to the Town of Lake City, with a notation that it is for the pavillion project, at P.O. Box 544, Lake City, CO, 81235. If you have any questions, please call the Town offices at 970-944-2333.
